how long did it take to paint this
I know this a painting not a photo manip, but it still looks like one
every character is painted perfectly but they feel as if they were cut out from separate images and put here together
the lighting seems different for each character
congrats to you buddy your painting skills are immaculate and your patience and persistence are awe inspiring

I appreciate your visit and yes it is a painting and yes it was done from several references. The lighting for me is the trickiest part in working from multiple references. This work is about 60 hrs of devoted love.

Sure,it's well deserved mate!I'm always so enchanted from digital painters and you are a fantastic example. In my last works i've tried to mix 3D and 2D paint as you can seen with some nice result but the real challenge i think is to reproduce human skins. But for the moment i think to be quite satisfied eh eh!;P

Human-like skin is difficult to do using 3D programs to be sure, unless you have the new high-end programs. Painting skin, still "for me" is a challenge to replicate. I've seen some great works out there that just blow me away. Yet my technique is simple in the skin reproduction. In fact, it's the easiest part of the whole painting. Now hair...he he he...that's a different story. Your works are a refreshing tribute to your platform of miracles. I've tried poser and Daz trying to get some references of posed for paintings and all I end up with is twisted bodies in the most unforeseen of natural ways...lol.

Your comment means a lot to me bud and i think i can understand your clever(and appreciated)notice. That's true,it's so easy to fall in anonymous works when you use mediums that don't give the perfect mastery of your creativity, but it'also true that the important thing is the way you use the medium, with your style and originality. And i appreciate a lot you like my personal "miracles";p

Well to be honest times are tough financially and that gives me a real down time on art. But I have one almost finished with my current G-Friend. It's not something to write home about with dramatic punch but technically it's okidokie. But the RED SONJA work, I'm in the planning stages is going to be awesome...I've got a model and the pose already. That one has been burning on my brain forever. A hot model sent me a pose. A good friend set it all up. And a fantasy creature I found dead behind the building of my JOB gave me the insight to a cool battle scene...lol. Inspirations come from the oddest of places...lol. But I'm ahead of myself. My G-Friend has been nagging at me to finish her painting and it is one of the space shuttle. This one is kind of a test to the actual work I wanted to do on that idea, but not quite the actual pose I wanted...more on that later. Hey! enough about me and my lapse of "missing in action". What have you been up to. Let me get by your place and see while I still have internet connection tonight...lol.

lol...Hey we all have to start somewhere...That reminds me of my early ventures into the computer world and Adobe...I'm too embarrassed to show my very first attempts at painting in the digital world here...lol. But seriously, the secret to what I do is very simple...patience...so much that I tend to lose my sense of time and the weeks that pass by working on just one, a few hours at a time per day. It is a lot of fun and I get lost in my little world...sometimes I just want to do this forever and never work again. Oh and I am so sorry for the late reply...just now got my internet connection back running today.

I've been wanting to do something for the longest of time with his perfections...and when you sit down and try to do something that justifies his hard work, one never seems quite satisfied with the end results...but as in all my paintings, I do them just because they are fun to do, so I suppose that I find comfort in them. Art is fun and a joy to be a part of. It is the essence of life to me. And, to you I am sure...thank you so much for the comment and the visit. Keep on making those views of joy!!!

I really know what you mean, I have been working on a piece featuring his amazing stock and I never seem to be satisfied enough with it. I so want it to be good enough to not disappoint him if he ever sees it :)
I love your comments about art as well. I am not so sure if it means so much to me as to you, I actually find joy in other things and art is only a small hobby of mine, but I love it when people are obsessed with art so deeply. You have my uttermost respect for that.

All I can say is that I love art. All kinds. To me, just being alive is not enough without enriching it with worlds of fantasy. Dreams keep us going in this ole world and a bit of reality keeps us in check as I see it. Peace and happiness I wish your way my friend...and lots of it...
